Invited Lectures (scheduled)

Lecturer 1: Vladimir P. Vavilov (School of Nondestructive Testing, National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University)

Vladimir Vavilov graduated and received his PhD degree from Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), Russia, City of Tomsk. Presently, he works as a full professor and head of Thermal Testing laboratory at TPU. For many years, Vavilov has been collaborating with many world research teams in the area of infrared thermographic nondestructive testing (NDT).

Lecture title: "Infrared Thermographic Nondestructive Testing of Composites: Short History, State-of-the-Art and Trends"

Lecturer 2: Anatoly Gaydanskiy (General Director of JSC "AeroComposit")

Anatoly Gaydanskiy is the General Director of JSC "AeroComposit", which is known for building a composite wing for the short/medium range MC-21 civil transport aircraft. The company specializes in manufacturing of primary composite structures installed in the aircraft wing, using the vacuum infusion method. He will visit our workshop and make a presentation on the experience of composite materials applications in aircraft building.

Lecture title: "Applications of polymer composite materials in MC-21-300 project"

Technical Tour (Anisoprint at Skolkovo Innovation Center, November 1)

Anisoprint at Skolkovo Innovation Center will offer a technical tour to the participants in the afternoon of November 1 (Day 2).
Anisoprint is a leading company of composite 3d-printing for producing continious carbon fiber fabrication for industrial-grade parts.

Dr. Fedor Antonov, CEO of Anisoprint, came to Japan in March, 2019, and gave a special lecture to the Japanese composite community at JCCM-10 (10th Japan Conference on Composite Materials).
"Anisoprinting - additive manufacturing of the next generation composite materials and structures with tailored directional properties."

The technical tour includes
- Anisoprinting technology presentation
- 3D printer Composer A4 demonstration

Two invited lecturers will be scheduled to give us the presentations in the workshop.
Dr. Aleksey Khaziev, "Anisoprinting - Design and Manufacturing of New Generation Composite Structures"
Ms. Tatiana Latysheva, "Structural and Topology Optimization of 3D Printed Composite Parts"

The registration for the workshop includes the registration for participating the technical tour.

Guest Speaker (T. Fukui, KURIMOTO, LTD., Japan) (Workshop Dinner, October 31)

T. Fukui gave us a special lecture at JCCM-9 (9th Japan Conference on Composite Materials), March, 2018.
"Development of total solutions for realizing a high-cycle processing of CFRP."

KURIMOTO opened a new composite center (KURIMOTO Composite Center) for the development of CFRP manufacturing process
from preproduction to mass production in March, 2016.

They have developed new production systems suitable for automobile applications.
- Carbon LFTD System for low-cost, high-volume production
- High Cycle RTM System for short cycle-time, low-cost production

KURIMOTO is supporting our workshop as a company sponsor.
